Description: Extend paved runway 380 feet, with new unpaved Runway Safety Area extended approximately 300 feet beyond new runway threshold. Extend paved apron (approximately 82,000 square feet of new embankment and pavement). Construct security fence. Construct new embankment for new paved airport terminal vehicle parking area (approximately 16,000 square feet). Relocate two creeks. Install two new culverts in road separating tidal estuary. Install new runway and taxiway lighting in new construction areas. Replace high voltage, low voltage and communication services to existing FAA and State of Alaska facilities. Install new painted pavement markings. Major Work items include approximately: 112,000 Tons of Borrow, 32,000 cubic yards of Unclassified Excavation, 1,900 Tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, and 7,000 Tons of Crushed Aggregate Base Course.
