Solicitation of Navigational Aid (NAVAIDS) work to be performed on Runway 19 at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
This project is being set-aside for 8(a) businesses as determined by the Small Business Administration. All proposals must include the Offerorâ¢æ¢âs 8(a) designation letter.
The proposed work for this project includes the following:
The work covered under this Solicitation includes the
installation of a Glide Slope (GS) facility,
Runway Visual Range (RVR), two Precision Approach Path
Indicatorâ¢æ¢âs (PAPIâ¢æ¢âs), and a MALSF equipment building
(includes an ASSC antenna) to serve runways 19L and
19R at the San Francisco International Airport in San
Francisco, California.
Installation of the runway 19L GS
Contractor shall install the GS as indicated on the
construction drawings. Work includes:
Installation of an equipment building (and providing
power to building).
Installation of the runway 19L Touch Down RVR
Contractor shall install the RVR as indicated on the
construction drawings. Work includes:
Installation of the RVR sensor station, and providing
power and control from the Glide Slope building.
Installation of the runway 19L and 19R PAPIâ¢æ¢âs
Contractor shall install the PAPIâ¢æ¢âs as indicated on
the construction drawings. Work includes:
Installation of the PAPI Power & Control Stationâ¢æ¢âs
and LHAâ¢æ¢âs (Light Housing Assemblyâ¢æ¢âs).
The construction contractor shall re-locate and re-
use the existing 19R PAPI equipment.
Installation of the runway 19L MALSF Equipment Building
Contractor shall install the MALSF Equipment building
as indicated on the construction drawings. Work
includes:
Installation of an equipment building (and providing
power to building), and an MG-30 type foundation for
an ASSC antenna.
** Work at the MALSF building also includes the
termination of MALSF field wiring in the building.
