요약
GIT/1 resulted in the development of the group's work plan and goals and objectives. Both the APEC SN&C Advisory Committee and the APEC Transportation Working Group (TPT-WG) Plenary have endorsed and provided concurrence with these initiatives. Based on this work program, the near term objectives for the economies include completing WGS-84 surveys, approving the use of basic GNSS, developing and approving GNSS procedures, and begin establishing a regional test bed. The GIT has begun to address these items including the development of a Terms of Reference for a regional Feasibility Study and a proposal for GNSS Awareness Initiatives within the TPT-WG.
