The Eleventh Meeting of GIT (GIT/11) held in Tokyo, Japan in June 2007 recognized the need and importance of sharing knowledge of advanced GNSS technology and facilitating wider use of GNSS in transportation, and agreed to hold a seminar inviting experts and other interested in GNSS from all transport modes. This GNSS Technological Innovation Summit is a result of cooperative work of GIT members, and will provide an excellent forum for all Economies to obtain updated information of GNSS technology and its application in all transport modes, namely road, rail, maritime and aviation, and to exchange opinions on GNSS use in the APEC region. In order to take full advantage of this opportunity, all Economies are encouraged to include multi-modal GNSS experts in your delegation.

The GIT/12 Meeting will address GNSS-related activities of Economies, GIT initiatives, progress of the GNSS Testbed Project and some administrative matters of GIT. All APEC Economies are requested to report GNSS related works at the Meeting if not addressed at the Summit.
