요약
The GIT/8 in Seoul, South Korea concluded with accepted proposal from the participation economies to have a way forward by providing technical assistance to the APEC member(s), particularly on issue of WGS 84 before embarking on the total implementation of GNSS. GIT delegates also received the view and the status reports from ITT and the grantee Aerothai of Thailand on the APEC GIT Regional Test Bed Project. Several multi-modal GNSS experts from university, private industry and government made presentations on marine time, land transport and geodetic use of GNSS. 

Hopefully, GIT/9 will have new information from GALILEO organization in Europe to provide Economies an option as it relates to the implementation of GNSS in Asia/Pacific region. All APEC Economies will have an opportunity to present reports on current status of GNSS implementation. Experts from universities, industries and governments will also make presentations on the multi-modal of application of GNSS. GIT/9 will expect further discussions on the APEC GIT Regional Test Bed Project.
